Head of Department E.E.

The Department of Electrical Engineering is established in academic year 2019-20 with affiliation to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere, recognized by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State approved by AICTE, New Delhi with an initial intake of 60 students for B.Tech. Programme. Electrical Engineering is the core study of the applications of electricity and electronics, which is one of the most chosen streams by engineering students. It was introduced long back in 19th century.

The primary objective of the Electrical Engineering Programme is to prepare students to enter and progress in electrical engineering positions in business, industry, and Government sectors. Graduates are generally expected to work in the research and development of ideas, products, and processes by applying engineering principles to the solution of practical problems in the Electrical Engineering field.

The department have well qualified, experienced & dedicated teaching faculty members. The faculty members have involved in various research activities e. g. publication of their research papers at national and international journals having good impact factors, filing the patents, submitting the research proposals, organizing the faculty development programme, Workshops etc. Department is supported by equally dedicated qualified laboratory staff. Liaison with industry in the form of industrial visits, students training, expert lectures and arranging of seminars & workshops are an integral part of our educational program. We produce graduates to become future leaders for industry, academia, government and the society in India whose vision is founded upon fundamental knowledge, creative and analytical skills, local/regional perspective and ethics.

Through a good blend of course work and projects, the department endows students with the ability to apply knowledge of science, mathematics, and engineering to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, provide leadership and technical e xpertise, and practice engineering with ethical approaches and concern for society and environment. The department is having well-equipped and advanced laboratories where the students can acquire project-based learning which minimizes employment problems and makes them self-sufficient to serve the society and nation.

I welcome the prospective students/all stakeholders to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Shree Siddheshwar Women’s College of Engineering Campus in Solapur.
